This morning our Cuisinart coffee maker started leaking water all over the counter. I stopped everything, unplugged it, emptied it, dried it off and proceeded to take the bottom of the unit off. Theres a very clever water-routing system in the thing. Two sections of that routing are made of flexible plastic tubing. One of the tubes had split where it was fastened to the unit. I took it off, measured it, and found out that our local hardware stores and Home Depot dont carry flexible plastic tubing like this. All I need it about 8 of tubing and Ive got the coffee maker back. Fortunately, I found some on the web, orderable from U.S. Plastic Corp. UNfortunately, I have to buy 25 feet to get 8 inches. It only costs $10.50, much less than an new good coffee maker. But it rots my garters to buy 25 feet, use 8 inches, and throw away 24+ feet. Grrr.
