This morning while trying to catch the 7:22 train from Brooklyn I arrive with 4 min to get ticket and board. I couldnt find the ticket machine or locate the track. A young man popped up saw me looking confused and ran me over to it....then he ran me to the train. I walked on, the door closes and the sweet man on the other side of the door smiling and waving goodbye like we were old friends. The conductor asks me where Im going, I say Port Jeff. He shows me I had bought a ticket to Jamaica only. He says......you have a few dollars on you? I had 4, he said fair enough and issues me the ticket! Unknown to me a young woman heard this conversation and the conductors kindness and when it was time to switch trains she looks at me, smiles and says follow me, Im going to Port Jeff too. Guides to get me home......literally just popping up on cue. Grateful to notice how life truly supports us.
