This next post is important, I want everyone to share this because its important. Also I ask that those linked with the masjids present this and stick it up on their boards. There have recently been ice-cream and desert shops opening up in Rochdale. A group of people including my father, my ustadh and others have gone to these places and asked that they name their products and their brands, one brand was identified as carte dor to which the owners were given details that showed it to be impermissible to consume. One establishment was specifically told with this document that the ice-cream they sold was not Halal, the owners response was not one of amazement, rather that indicated dismissal. Therefore I put out this document that was given by the Uni-lever brand [upon request] that states quite clearly what ice-creams are vegetarian and which are not with respect to large quantities. The non-vegetarian ones are being sold in Rochdale and labelled wrongly as Halal. I advise you all stay away from these places even though they are owned by Muslims. You must check the brands before you eat and if the seller refuses to give you the details, avoid that place completely. Our youth are going there to eat and being served haram food despite the owners being aware. Document attached.
