(This one is going to be harsh, but it needs to be put out there) I cant lose weight, its just not going to happen for me, Ive tried everything. If youve tried everything and had blood work done (by a doctor, its amazing how many hormone scams are out there) to rule out an underlying hormonal disorder, then the problem is in the mirror. Youre not being honest and accurate about something, or many things, and those inaccuracies are what is stalling your progress (or preventing it from starting at all). To get you started on figuring out where the breakdown in intake reporting is happening, here are the questions I ask my clients: 1- Are you WEIGHING your food, in grams, on a food scale or relying on measuring cups to portion your servings? 2- Are you having a cheat meal or treat meal that you dont track? 3- Are you actually working out x days a week, or are you skipping days? 4- Are you consuming enough carbs, fats and proteins to give you adequate energy, balance your hormones and help your muscles heal and recover? Women have a strong tendency to severely under-eat fats (thinking fats make them fat). Unless you have an underlying health issue that requires a lower number, you need AT LEAST 50g of fat every day to keep your hormones balanced. Weighing food seems to be the hardest thing for people to deal with, but it really doesnt take that much time to do, and once you get used to it, you dont even realize its an extra step. Check out this video to see why weighing is so important (ignore the alarmist headline and watch the video):
