This past week I have experienced a new event: upon going through Russells backpack (yes: I view myself as a loving mother who must know) I found a hate note (to Russell) from a fellow classmate who admitted to kicking my son repeatedly (and yes to Russell reacting back). And expressed I HATE YOU in the note. [I have been dealing with bullying at Aspen Elementary School for over 4 years now. Working through the correct channels.] I called the police department to find out when do the police step in with a bullying situation: I was appalled about what I learned! Do not believe the media when they say this-that crap. Find out the true laws. The police will not step in unless 1 of 3 things happen: Theft; Vandalism; Assault. And make sure you have proof. Oh and if the victim fights back he will be charged with Aggravated Assault. I am so discouraged with the system. Time to voice the problems!
