This past week I volunteered to help someone celebrate a milestone. I have been in the midst of a personal trial involving someone close to me. To be honest I should have stayed home but I pushed past the circumstances of life and used my gifts to make things beautiful. The celebration was a success and I was honored to have participated. While helping I received a text from someone asking if I was OK, a call from a friend telling me someone had been praying for me for 2 weeks, a FB message from another person who added me to their prayer list, another woman said I was on her mind and she was praying for me, a friend told me they are giving up a meal to pray for me and another friend said God told them to agree in prayer with me. WOWOWOWOW! I was so glad I pushed past, walked over, and surrendered to God to help my sister because I received a 100 fold blessing of prayer. The trial I face today does not eradicate the anointing on my life to bless others. I will stand in the midst of the storm. I was told by a wise woman........ You cant get any lower than the feet of Jesus. I will keep my face at His feet and my hands to the sky. Hit me with your best shot but you cannot take my faith away. Philippians 2 put it in perspective for me: If you’ve gotten anything at all out of following Christ, if his love has made any difference in your life, if being in a community of the Spirit means anything to you, if you have a heart, if you care— then do me a favor: Agree with each other, love each other, be deep-spirited friends. Don’t push your way to the front; don’t sweet-talk your way to the top. Put yourself aside, and help others get ahead. Don’t be obsessed with getting your own advantage. Forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand.
