This past weekend I had one of the best moments of my many years of being a youth athletic coach. After our loss in the championship game in Pittsburgh the refs came up to me and said I want you to know in 30 years of officiating Ive never seen a 12 year old display as much sportsmanship as your captain did today. He told me that my captain (Robby Lachman ) lined up for the face off with 7 seconds left.. His team losing 3-0 extended his hand to the other player and said I just want you to know you and your team played a great game This kid amazes me more every day, he leads by example, is gracious in victory and defeat, nobody hustles more than he does and is always positive in any situation. Weve worked on his leadership skills this season and hes excelled my expectations I had for him in all areas! The fact that in 2 short years hell be a rough rider makes me smile. Im so very proud of him! Amazing young man!
