This photo was taken just minutes before a bunch containing 6 dried-up coconut fruits fell on E. Sabal who was working on the concrete steps for the bridge across the creek. Sabal lost consciousness for a brief period while the crew carried him over to the clubhouse. He was conscious when the crew reached the clubhouse (on a motorcycle). The security vehicle was out of order, so VP Fred Natal asked staff to get a taxi that took Sabal to the New Era Hospital, where he was x-rayed. Fortunately, the x-rays showed that the head was essentially normal, although the cervical vertebra appeared to have straightened, probably due to muscle spasm. Sabal was sent home for the day, but the following day, he had difficulty getting up, so FHA vehicle took him to East Ave Medical Center for CT scan. Updates will be posted when info available.
