This poor horse. This eye injury is no less than gruesome. What a wild night. My good friend Henry, Daniel, and I went down some crazy roads and at times it felt as though we were about to cross the Mexican Border. Fully examined the parameters of performance for my truck and trailer. The Mercy Machine put on a heck of a performance out there. We hiked maybe 500 yards through horrible thick arizona cactus and brush, all of which is pokey and stabby. We found the horse with the help of the closest neighbor. Serious eye socket injury, tissue damage and exposed and crushed eye. Its a MESS. Haltered, lead to the trailer and no loaded. Home safe and having a meal while I rest and clean up. I will do an intake exam shortly and try to get a picture. I am bloody from the knees down, boots, britches, and socks and me all full of cactus. Once pain meds have kicked in, an exam will be less stressful.
