This portion of the front yard landscaping project was finished this week. Ken Bronson of KC Landscaping has done my irrigation and exterior lighting work and had enough of a break in his schedule to help with my 3000sf project. I tried to balance evergreens and hardscape with perennials so there would be lots of visual interest in the winter. The Stella Doras, phlox, and peonies will be hidden until spring. I have astibilles specd but they arent available now. Caladiums cant be planted until spring but there is a place for those. Those dark mulch beds are for bulbs and annuals. Ill plant bulbs this week. Ken also put in a Dawn Redwood tree in the side flowerbed. That one is still under construction. Ill be working outside a lot this winter. To give you some idea of the scale, the fountain is 6-feet tall and the flowerbed is 63-feet long by 18-feet wide. In case you are curious, the lighting is LED.
