This pup joined us a few days ago. Poor baby girl has a severe traumatic injury and cannot walk. We dont think hit by car, because there are no abrasions of any kind. Possibly kicked, dropped or stepped on (but since she cant tell us, we will never know for sure 😥). Her abdomen was filled with blood and bruising and her hind legs completely useless. Xrays revealed her pelvis is not broken (which is what I was hoping it was, since that heals with full recovery after a few months). Unfortunately she has a spinal injury. I am so thankful that this sweet little angel even charmed Dr. Cullota!! He is greatly discounting her medical care! (you rock, doc!) Even so, she is facing months of treatment and rehab and it will be expensive. Right now she is hospitalized on several medications and receiving three laser treatments daily. She may end up requiring an extremely costly surgery and/or wheels. There is no guarantee of recovery but as long as she can be pain free and happy, we want her to have a chance at a life of love. We are hopeful for her and have seen tail movement which is a great sign!!
