This report gives pizza in general a bad rap. The headline should read If youve eaten restaurant chain pizza. Luckily, for our customers, they need not worry. As independent restaurant owners, we want to state for the record that we do not use any of the pizza ingredients mentioned in this article. Our recipe is quite basic; wheat and barley flour, water, salt, sugar, yeast, tomato sauce, mozzarella and provolone cheese and spices. As we move into spring then summer, we look forward to purchasing as much as we can of our ingredients from local farmers and businesses. We do this for a number of reasons. Most notably, freshness and the support of our local economy. As independent small business owners, the effect of keeping our money local is very important to us. This concept, while foreign to many, has contributed to the resurgence of small towns such as ours all across America.
