This song just came up on my iTunes... The first concert I ever went to at the Sydney Entertainment Centre when it first opened, was Midnight Oil, and this is exactly as I remember them at that time. This song, unfortunately, is again, very appropriate to the current times, if you listen to the words. The worlds amnesia is only worsening…severely, and in horrific ways :( For my non-Aussie friends, Peter Garrett, the singer (yeah, he does have a unique dancing style! And hes notorious for it :)), who could be seen regularly, driving around our Paddington in his beat-up old Volvo back in the 1980s - is now, predictably, a Minister in our government… It seems very hard to get any real changes through, once you get up there into the game of politics, but I believe Pete is trying to hold on to the ideals of his youth - fighting for human rights and the environment. We all stuff up, but at least hes trying… Go Peter Garrett :) Keep trying to fight the good fight.
