This song was hugely inspired by Creedence Clearwater Revivals song called, “Rude Awakening #2.” I always got a kick out of The Beatles, Chicago, CCR, and other hugely popular groups that have recorded and released avant-garde material. As a musician, I find the stuff quite boring. But as a writer and listener, I find avant-garde music extremely interesting. I have been deeply inspired by some of these songs and have written more “mainstream” songs because of them. When I was younger, Id listen to avant-garde music followed by classical music. It really plays some interesting tricks to the ears. This song was recorded back in 1986 and was originally just an instrumental. I later wrote lyrics to it and had 3 different versions of this song. This song actually starts off like a slow structured song and moves heavily into the avant-garde, then flows back into a melody again, and continues back and forth until the end. The original recording was done on a two track stereo system. I took this version from an old cassette tape I had and edited it on the Audacity software, adding more of a flavor to this tune including on-line drums and overdubbing various percussive instruments. (You can hear the massive amount of tape hiss which I kept in there. The program is limited on how much hiss I can actually smooth out, but I decided to keep the full glory of the old tape hiss in tacked.) This song was transferred from cassette tape from a Denon DRM-700 3 head cassette deck with silent mechanism onto digital form. This is the 152nd song I wrote.
