This song which is coined as the #1 song of All Time by rolling stones 500, has a weird history..This song was written actually by Bob Dylan to end his career and he planned everything so that this would not be a Hit...But see the irony, this became one of the best commercially successful song of all time. When he had a long and tiresome England tour in 1965, Bob was confronted with many people for his folk based pop song, which was becoming bit out fashioned during early rock and R&R era. He thought he will try a rock song with folk flavor and all sorts of weird experimentation, so that it will be a flop. He wanted to prove the world, rock music will not take-off...He wrote the song, with confrontational lyrics, quarks of 10 pages long, no inter verse movement. He used Waltz with 3/4 time signature, blues with 3/4 time signature (used in classical western music) and 1/8 hunch (rock music). He invited all the rookie session payers for guitars, piano, brass and asked them to play inverted keys (if Guitar in A, Brass in G, piano in F => opposite to circle of fifth)...Track was made long length (8 minutes initially). His music producers refused to take that...Radio refused to play the song...But someway the song got leaked into public and was huge success in England, Australia and part of USA..Later after that music was accepted by music labels and radio...it remained #1 in Billboard chart for 18 weeks (highest by any song in the history)....Bob Dylan career took a new turn..and Rock music got Waltz and Blues youtube/watch?v=OeNJj8aviyg
