This storm is really making me think of my dad. He used to want to sit outside on our porch when it was awful outside. I think maybe he enjoyed seeing how mighty our God is by allowing thunder and lightening to seem so angry and loud and intrusive, and then for there to be such a peace and calm after the storm. Which is exactly how we should approach life. To understand that with every storm, no matter how angry or unstable things may be, that there is always a peace and a calmness that will come if you allow it to. I miss that man and I am so thankful that he was in my life for the seemingly brief time that he was.
