This subject has been troubling me for a few days since I first saw this story; many in the liberty movement are bashing each other over the drama that this piece has generated; some say that the group should never have done this story willingly because it made everyone in the movement look bad, others say duh CC is not exactly a news source you trust and most people understand sarcasm and will look further into things after seeing the story, essentially there is no bad press: I have a few points that I would like to express and then leave it up to debate, the first point being, if you truly are an anarchist (which most in the argument seem to claim to be) and by anarchist I mean the guy/gal who believes in absolute freedom how does this honestly affect you? unless you are a collective where anarchism is a cult where everyone does and says the same thing, then why would it bother you for one man or a group of people to go outside the norm and do something different? forgive me, but isnt that the whole idea of anarchism? They dont speak for you because you are your own master right, so how do THEIR actions make YOU look bad, unless your are in reality still mired in collective thinking? Isnt that the idea of freedom? even if you dont agree with the action necessarily, you can still appreciate and defend his right to do so! There is enough fighting going on with the true enemy big gov, why faction off and start fighting among each other as well? Divide and conquer, divide and conquer; This all reminds me of the open carry movement in texas which became so inane and cult like that any acting outside their norm even though within full right to do so was shamed by the collective. There is going to be criticism folks, no matter what you do or how perfect you are, there will always be criticism and for us to constantly build these movements around the idea that we should work within the system and not bring annoyance or criticism to bear upon the movement is a dangerous pipe dream; If I criticize someone for not practicing their freedoms in the way that I think they should, then how am I any better than the state enforcers who put laws upon people for the same reasons? Granted, an idea is not as immediately final as a state controlled gun, but the lingering effects of a bad idea or useless collective mentality criticism can have just as lasting of a scar on humanity. Secondly, for years I have worked with and known close friends active in the liberty movement. but yet, I would not have even heard of this group if it had not been for THIS story and the drama surrounding it , i immediately knew the story was a parody and looked into the real story, quickly found their youtube videos and enjoyed seeing what they were doing and passed it on to all my friends; the only thing I found disturbing about the situation was the lack of faith the liberty collective expressed--way to fall apart at the first sign of criticism over someone trying to live as you preach; If you cant take this guys, we are truly doomed. Just my thoughts on the matter. https://youtube/watch?v=u_grsfXr7po
