This summer, a group of young people from SEEDS Youth Conservation Corps were joined by an expert craftsman from the Michigan Barn Preservation Network at the beautiful Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore for a one-of-a-kind experience: rehabilitating the sites historic Goffar Barn. The work definitely made an impression -- and spawned new converts to preservation. Said Shelby Christensen, one of the participants: “I cant wait to someday bring my grandkids out to the Goffar Barn and show them all the hard work this crew and I have done.”
