This summer, the DuSable Museum presents another season of the Sounds of History Jazz Series. Come on out and bring your chairs & blankets and enjoy another jazzy summer on the patio of the DuSable Museum. Ari Brown & Duke Payne will play tribute to the hard bopping alto sax sounds of Cannonball Adderley; Sonny Rollins - the pioneer behind the piano-less trio; the groovy jazz-funk/soul-jazz grooves of Grover Washington Jr; and Ray Charles’s saxophone sideman - the late great Hank Crawford. It’s all about the saxophone on Wednesday, June 19th from 6 to 8 pm and it’s absolutely free. Call 773-947-0600 extension 236 to see about reserving a table.
