This time for our visit to Maui, we decided to drive up Haleakala in the middle of the night so I could try my hand at photographing the Milky Way. Its well above the cloud level, and away from lights, so it was perfect for this type of photography. I discovered Id like to try a different lens next time to get a wider field of view, and found a few other vantage points I want to try another time, but I got a few shots in at least! Not too bad! Makes me hunger for more time with just me, the night, and the camera. :D
