This update from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration for Tuesday, July 15, 2014 sees the crew aboard the International Space Station continuing in their preparations for the arrival of the Cygnus cargo spacecraft the following morning. Expedition 40 astronauts conducted another robotic exercise as they will use the Space Station Remote Manipulator System or Canadarm2 to capture Cygnus once the vehicle parks itself alongside the Station. Canadarm2 will then be used to berth the spacecraft onto the Stations Harmony Module. Astronauts also spent Tuesday conducting science experiments in a variety of fields such as with medical research and experiments in the physical sciences. Space Station maintenance is also an item astronauts frequently attend to. ☆ 🚀 ☆
