This verse of the Scriptures came to my mind: But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us. - 2 Corinthians 4:7 An excerpt from Myles Munroes book, Understanding Your Potential- In every piece of stone, a sculptor sees a figure. But we never see it until he takes it out. Whereas, we may see only an old stump of tree on the side of the road, a wood sculptor sees a beautiful piece that we would pay thousands of dollars to own. What looks like garbage to a non artistic person is a treasure to the artist. AND SO ARE WE TO GOD, OUR MAKER! (emphasis, mine) God looks beyond what we see when we look at ourselves. We need to remember that always, especially when we are going through some difficult n trying times. When it seems that all around us depicts failure, depression, weakness,etc, God sees in us all the good things we can become. Oh! How he sees us differently! If only we knew how much, how great, how highly He thinks of us... God saw a mighty man of valour and a great deliverer of a whole nation in Gideon, a man who was busy hiding from the Midianites for fear of being caught n killed.
