This video was shown at the last trauma conference and Im so glad that it is going viral. There are so many things that this video shows. Retraumatization can after another similar event occurs, a certain word or phase, a certain food, a certain place, etc, all of these can set off a trauma episode that can last a lifetime. These kids are also the main targets for bullies, retrauma can occur from a simple humiliation (hints the black trash bag of clothes-DHS Norm). Things in the system need to change, but not just DHS. The school systems need to have Licensed counselors and district school social workers. Oklahoma is the worst about all of these things. Teachers need to be educated in trauma so that they can have a better understanding of why certain students are more difficult then others, and know how to deal with them PROPERLY. The ones that push the most are the ones that need the most help. FIGHT BACK!
