This was a true eye-opener for me. The horrendous details about what happened in Palestine leading up to the creation of the state of Israel in 1948 are quite shocking, and makes it very difficult to have sympathy for the current Israeli war against the Palestinians. Until now, I never really understood why the hatred is so strong down there, but that is now clear to me. I used to have sympathy for the Israelis, but that has been well and truly shaken. I know there’s been a lot of back and forth on this struggle recently, but please take the time to familiarize yourself with some of the historical background for the conflict.
