This was a very interesting job we did just before Christmas. Campus Bible Study is the Christian students organisation at the University of New South Wales. One of their many activities include the training of ministry apprentices. The apprenticeships last for two years and involve hands-on experience under the supervision of a trainer who has been in Christian ministry for many years. Every year at Staff Retreat, Paul Grimmond, the organisations trainer, takes the students through his personal Ten Commandments of Ministry to equip them to love and serve people well in ministry. As a thank you present for being his trainer, our customer, Matt, commissioned Talking Stones to engrave these ministry principles on two stone tablets (like the original Ten Commandments in Exodus 20). A custom case was then made to house them and they were presented to Paul in January 2015. Matt says: Im thankful for the thoughtfulness, expertise and flexibility of the Talking Stones staff in helping me realise this (rather unusual) project. They provided good advice based on their extensive experience in a gentle and collaborative manner, allowed me to make decisions and ultimately produced something Im really proud of.
