This was beautifully said, so I had to repost: I am so happy that someone liked this on my timeline, let me discuss about what the difference is between the Ferguson shooting and this situation so that people can see the error of their ways. A young 17 year old black male shot and killed two people, point blank period. He is now being sentenced to life in jail with no parole until 40...40 YEARS IN JAIL ! The jury didnt even deliberate for more then a few hours before deciding this man was guilty. Justice was served here, yes it is tragic that lives were lost, but justice was served. This boy is behind bars now and will be for the greater part of his life. The issue isnt that black people do not do anything wrong. The issue is that when a Caucasian male does the same thing kills an innocent man that happens to be African American, the same repercussions are not given, justice is NOT SERVED. The Ferguson issue was not about race. It became about race once that guilty verdict was given, it became about race when us as black people were told that we were not allowed to be furious. It became about race when we were told to go back to our country if we did not like it here. It became about race when people of any ethnicity like posts like this saying see black people do bad things too. Yes, we know this, and the fact that people use this as a counter argument for the Ferguson situation is weak, its belittling, its disgusting. Maybe I should bring up the holocaust every time a white person shoots up a school or WWI and WWII with the Germans. Im sure you would all say those things are of the past and to move on and that it does not apply to all white people. Same goes with black people, one persons actions and thoughts are not a representation of a nations. THIS NEEDS TO BE UNDERSTOOD. #EQUALITY #BLACKLIVESMATTER
