This was my friends ( Joanna McClain, a teacher) husbands (Not a teacher) status today. Too good not to share here: Marlon McClain You know the Government has really F*&^ed things up when people are fighting each other and are on your friends list. Seriously I have felt like reaching through the screen and beating some sense or un friending several people. To have family and friends pour their life and soul into their job. Then to have people slander their job, their performance and pay. I dont know of any other job in the country that people disrespect so much. Teachers are the people that take care of , teach, raise, help set values for your children and probably spend more time with them then you do. People have no problem paying hundreds of dollars to watch over paid athletes to play a game or spend $20 several times a month to watch over paid actors on the big screen. But god forbid if a teacher wants less then a 2% raise or a class room size that controllable and still a learning environment. No one seems to give a crap when gas prices go up or we pay twice as much tax on our booze then other provinces or states. Or ICBC raises their rates on a car/truck thats 4-7 years old and worth half as much as you bought it and know the insurance is more WTF? Who really is lining their pockets? As I know first hand teachers are just scraping by. And not these stats that are highly inflated that the government number crunchers are passing to the media. What teachers do you know that are high rollers, buying Lexuss, BMWs, Porsches, Mercedes, Yachts mansions, rolexs,traveling the world and buying other expensive things? I really dont understand how people that have kids dont value their kids education or who is taking care of there kids 5 days a week during the school year. Do you really want just piss off all the teachers and have them change careers? Who do you want to take care of your kids? any random that will work for $20-25 hr? Go a head keyboard trolls make my day. Maybe Ill stoop to your level and send some piss soaked Timmy donuts or hekkle the crappy job you are doing. Or yell go back to work you lazy f*&^s as you are typing a reply to this on FB post on your companys dime. Thank you Marlon!
