This week: 2014 Tennessee Civil War Sesquicentennial Signature Event: The Last Campaign in Tennessee Nov 13 - Nov 14, 2014 Website: tncivilwar150/ All Tennessee Civil War Sesquicentennial Commission sponsored events are free and open to the public. Registration is now open for Tennessee’s 2014 Civil War Sesquicentennial Signature Event, which remembers the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Franklin. Titled “The Last Campaign in Tennessee,” the commemoration will take place on November 13-14, 2014 in Franklin and surrounding historic sites. The event will feature educational symposiums, book signings, a Sesquicentennial Civil War exhibit offering rare and unique artifacts from the Battle of Franklin, musical presentations and living history demonstrations, Confederate and Union. November 13-14, 2014 Looking Back: The Civil War in Tennessee November 13: 10 am - 2:30 pm; November 14: 9 am - 1 pm Location: Williamson County Archives- 611 Main Street, Franklin The Civil War in Tennessee provides Tennesseans the opportunity to have their Civil War manuscripts, artifacts and photographs digitally copied in locations convenient to their homes. The Tennessee State Library and Archives will digitally preserve photos and memorabilia to create a permanent, public archive online at tn.gov/tsla/cwtn/. Attendees are encouraged to schedule an appointment with Tennessee Library at Archives staff, however walk-ins are welcome.
