This week has been rough for Miss Nevaeh. Her pain has increased - TopicsExpress

This week has been rough for Miss Nevaeh. Her pain has increased since being home. We knew that her bowels not moving well was a reason for the pain but they were moving better each day. Even so the pain became more severe each day. Contorting her body into a rainbow shape while screaming out and passing out every minute was an all day event. She needed oxygen just because she wouldnt take enough breaths during these storming spells. Ativan has been given everyday just to sedate her so her body can rest before it gives out. This medicine doesnt solve the pain so once it wears off shes right back at it. Since the only new thing in picture was the antibiotic for her UTI - I decided to research it more. Once I read, can cause severe stomach crapping and pain I knew it had its part to play. We stopped giving it immediately. Doctors also told us it would be 3-4 days before we see her pain start to go away while her body gets rid of the antibiotic in her system. Our Christmas wasnt one without pain but we were home. We have been surrounded in love this week. We are so grateful to Fairland High School for the gifts they bought for Nevaeh and Ella and to all others who bought food to help with feeding Nevaeh. We were reminded that even if your holiday isnt how you planned - you seem to find its real meaning even off the beaten path. We hope you all had a joyful Christmas surrounded in love! These pictures are of Ella dressing up Nevaeh in some of their new Frozen gifts :)
