This weeks update sees more progress on Juliet, firstly a correct ILS Marker Light was purchased and the make do to fill a hole Dolls eye indicator removed and the light fitted. Next as part of returning to a running condition the throttle and propeller pitch levers and associated control runs required some attention. Modern equivalents of the correct Military Specification oils and greases were assembled and all the chains, bell cranks and ball joints were cleaned, oiled and re greased whilst working the lubrication in according to the manual. So far engines 3 and 4 controls have been tackled producing good results. The process will then be repeated for engine’s 1 and 2 before we carry out a rigging check.
