This year I traded my tent and air mattress for a camping hammock. After the first night sleeping in it, I was glad I did. Not only did I save valuable weight and space, but I never slept more comfortably outdoors. Its also a snap to set up and take down. Has both insect fly and rain cover. If youre considering getting one, I have two recommendations: Dont get any of the cheaper ones, and consider that any place you stay should have two of anything you can hang the hammock on (trees, light posts, fence posts, rock ledges). Im not posting to endorse any product, but I have a Hennessey Expedition; there are other equally good competitors.
