This year director Sanja Bestic is nominated for an award as a result of her great efforts to promote the life and and work of scientist Nikola Tesla through her theater and film project Tesla. Sanja Bestic, a young, talented and ambitious artist from Serbia, promotes the best from her country through her creative work in New York. TSF whose primary mission is to promote Nikola Tesla, a Serbian immigrant in New York, offers their unconditional support and partnership in the project. Sanjas idea is to provide a new perspective on history and Teslas life and work, as well as key people and relationships that marked Teslas immigrant life, through the drama written by Sheri Graubert. Sanja brings to life moments of Teslas life that the public has yet to see and TSF displays important moments and sequences of Teslas life, which for mysterious reasons have remained a well kept secret to date. It is time for the world to see and hear, through this play, everything that Teslas great mind invented but was never able to execute and carry through as it was not in everybodys interest for the world to evolve. As we realize that we are at a minimum 70 years behind all of what Tesla tried to offer the world through his inventions, when we realize the value of his patents, the least we can do is to reveal to the world who the genius was who tried to illuminate the world. Tesla, whom we might have referred to as holy, sacred, died before he was recognized as someone who truly marked the history of mankind. Sanja Bestic, who is very passionate about her work and sympathizes with Tesla through history and art, is taking a big step in promoting the life of a scientist that the Serbian nation takes great pride in.
