This year marks the 16th anniversary of the Mayor’s Hispanic Advisory Council Latinos Unidos Luncheon, which will be held at the Tampa Convention Center on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 11:30 am. The Honorable Bob Buckhorn, Mayor of the City of Tampa, and the City of Tampa Mayor’s Hispanic Advisory Council, hosts this annual scholarship fundraising event. The purpose of the luncheon is to showcase the impact and engagement of Latinos in the mainstream of our region, state and nation. All net proceeds generated by the luncheon support scholarships for local Latino students with financial need to attend college at USF, HCC or the University of Tampa.
