This year our Lenten theme will be “Forgiveness through Faith, Fellowship, & Friendship.” We will put this Lenten theme into practice through the traditional Lenten practices of Prayer, Fasting, and Almsgiving. Listed below are the various ways in which we will fast and sacrifice this Lent. Fasting-Sacrifices There will be a special emphasis on peace and respectful quiet in all public spaces, such as in the hallways, on the stairwells, and on the ramp. There will be no sweet treats or pizza parties in Lent except for birthdays. There will be no Dress Down Days in Lent. On Holy Thursday after “The Living Stations,” all will contemplate Jesus’ sacrifice for us and will eat lunch in total silence. May this Lent be a special time of renewal for you and your families.
