Those hypocris and Madkhali Salafis who say Jihad today brings destruction to the Ummah From those who ascribe themselves to Islam and the Muslims, there appeared the group especially the Madkhali Salafis who said “Jihad today only brought destruction and burden upon the Ummah. And the Disbelieving nations fight against us and humiliate us due to the Jihadi groups. Rather we must cooperate with the non-Muslims and compete in the sphere of business and agriculture etc to uplift the Ummah from the humiliation it is now in” The refutation to the tongues of these hypocrites and deviants is from the following angles: - The Kuffaar would keep on fighting us as long as we are Muslims, regardless of our Jihad or not. Listen dear brother to the words of Allah: وَلَا يَزَالُونَ يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ حَتَّىٰ يَرُدُّوكُمْ عَن دِينِكُمْ إِنِ اسْتَطَاعُوا And they will continue to fight you until they turn you back from your religion if they are able. And the humiliation of this Ummah is not in Jihad, rather we are humiliated due to our leaving Jihad and spending for it and by engaging in haram transactions and being pleased with agriculture. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam said: إِذَا تَبَايَعْتُمْ بِالْعِينَةِ وَأَخَذْتُمْ أَذْنَابَ الْبَقَرِ وَرَضِيتُمْ بِالزَّرْعِ وَتَرَكْتُمُ الْجِهَادَ سَلَّطَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمْ ذُلاًّ لاَ يَنْزِعُهُ حَتَّى تَرْجِعُوا إِلَى دِينِكُمْ – رواه أبو داود وصححه الألباني “When you enter into the inah transaction, hold the tails of oxen, are pleased with agriculture, and give up conducting jihad (struggle in the way of Allah). Allah will make disgrace prevail over you, and will not withdraw it until you return to your original religion.” Abu Daud narrated it and Albani graded it Saheeh. And Allah said: وَأَنفِقُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلَا تُلْقُوا بِأَيْدِيكُمْ إِلَى التَّهْلُكَةِ ۛ And spend in the Cause of Allah (i.e. Jihad of all kinds, etc.) and do not throw yourselves into destruction (by not spending your wealth in the Cause of Allah), And it is narrated that Abu Bakur radiallahu anhu said “No nation leaves Jihad, except that Allah prevails among them punishment” (Narrated by Tabarani with a Hassan chain of narrators. Also see Albani’s Saheeh Tarqeeb) And ponder oh dear brother upon the words of Allah: إِلَّا تَنفِرُوا يُعَذِّبْكُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا If you march not forth, He will punish you with a painful torment And the punishment mentioned here is both in the world and the hereafter. In this world by the humiliation which we now live in, and in Hell fire in the hereafter for leaving the obligation of Jihad which Allah obligated upon us. And this would be clear for you brother if you refer it to the books of Tafsir. - Contrary to what these people claim, Jihad is the salvation of the Ummah. Allah said: وَلَوْلَا دَفْعُ اللَّهِ النَّاسَ بَعْضَهُم بِبَعْضٍ لَّفَسَدَتِ الْأَرْضُ وَلَٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ ذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ And if Allah did not repel one set of people by means of another, the earth would indeed be full of mischief. But Allah is full of Bounty to the ‘Alamin. And it is His Bounty that he legislated Jihad so that the word of the disbelievers is lowermost and the word of Allah is uppermost and the Muslims are protected from the harm of the disbelievers. And this is achieved by Jihad, when the allies of Allah fight the allies of Shaythan. By Jihad, the humiliation which we now live in is lifted, and our hearts are cooled and the oppressors are punished. Allah said: قَاتِلُوهُمْ يُعَذِّبْهُمُ اللَّهُ بِأَيْدِيكُمْ وَيُخْزِهِمْ وَيَنصُرْكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَيَشْفِ صُدُورَ قَوْمٍ مُّؤْمِنِينَ Fight them; Allah will punish them by your hands and will disgrace them and give you victory over them and satisfy the breasts of a believing people. - So oh dear brother upon Tawheed, do not budge an inch due to the excuses they present in your path for they are nothing but the repeating of the words of their ancestors among the hypocrites about whom Allah said: الَّذِينَ قَالُوا لِإِخْوَانِهِمْ وَقَعَدُوا لَوْ أَطَاعُونَا مَا قُتِلُوا ۗ قُلْ فَادْرَءُوا عَنْ أَنفُسِكُمُ الْمَوْتَ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ Those who said about their brothers while sitting [at home], “If they had obeyed us, they would not have been killed.” Say, “Then prevent death from yourselves, if you should be truthful.” So we say to them, prevent death from yourselves if you are truthful. Prevent the hardships which Allah wrote upon you in this life if you are truthful. Prevent anything which Allah wrote upon you. By Allah they wont be able to. So what Allah destined, is to come and our obligations to Him are not nullified due to these hardships except which Allah gave excuse for.
