Those of you who follow my posts may have noticed by now that I use different, often contradictory allegories, word symbols and metaphors in order to bring into the world of forms and words an echo of the mysterium tremendum et fascinans. Sometimes I use the adventure tour as illustration; at others I speak of a journey with travelers that started at different locations must take in order to meet at a common destination; some other times I write about the bright incandescent presence of God and others about the darkness of God, as T.S. Elliot called it. Others as if God existed and others as if there is no God. Often I talk of a search and rescue mission. And yet, at other times I write about the secret agent, the sleeper mole (my favorite!), that like an antibody infiltrates itself into the body of world and religion. Sometimes I speak in the words of pre-existence and sometimes, in some swift keystrokes, I say something that seems its opposite, for like the writers of the sacred scriptures of old, the description of experiences beyond ordinary consciousness appear as irreconcilable paradoxes to common understanding. The above are just a few examples. Throughout it all there is a running current, a linking and uniting thread, telling you in stories and word pictures what words cannot convey directly and what cannot be passed on to another, but what an interior but insistent part of the reader knows, finds familiar, and recognizes. If you read all that I say and there is no inner response or if you give my words a literal, concrete, world-factual interpretation, then we are not speaking the same language and everything you read here will be seen through closed eyes and fall on deaf ears. ~Rosamonde Ikshvàku Miller 2014
