Though men typically want a love that is reverential (which is why the bible says wives reverence your husband),women really want a love that is sacrificial;a love that puts her first.Though she often settles for less allowing herself to be put on the back burner for everyone else,it is sacrificial love that brings the best out of her.This on point,because the Lord who sacrificed himself for his wife (which is the church) commands husbands to love their own wives in the same manner.Everything in died Christ to impart life into his wife,and until a man dies to his childish ego,distractions, and self centeredness,put away his toys (Temptations Of Youth),and pursue her like he really dont have her yet,he cant impart this same power into his own marriage and it will eventually die out.Sometime its not what a man does that makes her want to leave,it is also what he doesnt do.When you continue to pursue your wife(which is what cleave means)it makes her feel good about who she said *yes to.
