Though the verdict sent a very clear message, we as a people MUST send a louder, more powrerful message that we revere our children. That we educate our children. That a black boys role model is his father. That we support love and provide for our women. That showing the crack of your butt is benesth us. That a C average is unacceptable. That we remember our history. That we are not a selfish people. That there is a place in this country for a black boy who does not play basketball, football or raps. That our natural hair IS beautiful. That we are financially responsible. That we can be healthy. That our strength is our heritage, authenticity and discipline. AND THAT THE N WORD IS A THING OF THE PAST. Can we send that message in responce to the verdict? I still believe we teach the world how to regard us.
