Though there are other points, Ill give Yay to the following changes for the proposed WKF Rules starting in January: 1. Removed additional minute added to medal rounds...didnt make much sense. 2. No more grabbing with 2 hands!!! No 2 seconds allowed! Must initiate attack simultaneously attack as grab with one hand (old school). 3. Not sure of only letting Refs call penalties and judges scores and jogai (will probably modify locally) 4. Must score immediately on takedown, not 2 seconds (good) 5. Good to reinstate a list of kata, but not list styles and changed school to style (ryu-ha) Ive complained of that the whole time. So any style version of the named kata, but not your individual dojo. 6. Now allowed to bow at begin and end of kata Non-karate friends this wont mean much, for the rest, stay tuned! :-)
