Thought I would share a piece of my heart with you this morning... I received a desperate phone call in the evening, this past week. This lady was needing to place her husband somewhere. She stated he was going to be released from a skilled and didnt know what to do. I explained my regulations to her and informed her I would need a physician report before I could take him. I told her I would do whatever I could to help her. The next call that came through from her was, I have him in my car and another place excepted him. Our conversation continued where he could hear me talking. Her husband wanted to know what time I came into work the next day...I told him about 6:00! In the meantime I had received all the necessary paperwork, but at this point I knew he was going somewhere else. When I arrived to work the next morning they were waiting for me. They had stayed in their car all night, as she stated he wanted to come to my place. Okay, now Im crying...this was one of my heroes! I got him hot coffee, warm bed and breakfast. I might not have fulfilled my dream as a missionary nurse...but I am able to help our veterans one at a time. Remember all the ones that wont be home this Christmas and their sacrifice... Oh, I got to have dinner with my hero Nick and Alexis last night...what a week! My heart is so full of joy and Christmas! ❤️🇺🇸
