Thought I would share some photos I found on the net of tailed Bostons. A tail is an indication of the likelihood of a well formed spine, which is why Manx cat breeders do not mate to stumpy tailed cats together but choose a cat with at least a part tail to go with a cat with none, it helps keep spinal health. For some reason dog breeders are not so smart. In Bostons they have all but eliminated tails, and even though the standard states they may have a tail to the hock, I have yet to see one in Austrailia. So far we have managed to get some with small tails and in current litters have some one third length tails, so hang in there folk, the tails are on the way back. Tails will help lessen the incidence of Hemi Vertebrae and muscle dystrophy around the anal area which can lead to incontinence.
