Thought of the day: Art not being considered a real viable - TopicsExpress

Thought of the day: Art not being considered a real viable commodity is a travesty to society. It makes the assumption that artistry is finite. Where art in fact has intrinsic value to the betterment, progression, collective growth and change in the human experience. Yet, I hear many that state that making a living in this somehow detrimental due to some phantasm under the guise of love of the art, that causing sustainability in lifestyle undermines the craft. Where in fact art: whether by film, painting, photography, sculpture, architecture, design, or digital creativity, it is not only required by so many individuals as well as companies, its continually growing and evolving with bursts of creativity and innovation that causes people both joy and motivates them to flourish. So, is making a full time living in the arts real work? Yes, it is more real, powerful, influential, intense, and beautiful than any other I would consider. The experienced artist is intrinsically valuable as the work that is done creates infinite more.
