Thought of the day. When one is involved in a charity work, who would actually benefit most from it. The recipient or the one who shares/contributes voluntarily his/her time, effort, and money. The answer is probably both. Not surprisingly. I think the contributors benefit is enormous. Dont under estimate the power of sharing and working to help others who are disadvantaged/dispossessed. There are things in which money cannot buy, the joy of sharing, the life changing experience of witnessing the joy of others who accept our help. To be recognized is blissful but sometimes I do wonder, does the recognition diminish what our intent is and will it also diminish the primary reason as to why we volunteer to help. I do know I am blessed to be given the opportunity to share through Cooking For Charity, an initiative in which I started some nine years ago. Life is blissful indeed. And my Charity work does help me to live life.
