Thought on Malaysia 370......One thing no one is talking about is - TopicsExpress

Thought on Malaysia 370......One thing no one is talking about is the extraordinary coincidence(?) that this flight disappeared in the 20 seconds between being handed off from Kuala Lumpur (Subang Center) to Viet Nam (Ho Chi Minh) Center. That is most suspicious to me. The normal conversation between the plane and the controller would go something like this: Subang: Malaysia 370, contact Ho Chi Minh now on 135.65 MH370: (Actual) All right, good night. at that point the pilot not flying would have tuned the radio to the new frequency right away, switched the radio and called HO Chi Minh Center. Their report would have gone thus: MH370: Ho Chi Minh Center, Malaysia 370 level 350 (Their altitude). That whole exchange takes 30 seconds from beginning to end. At the time the pilots said All right, good night it seems obvious that there was no concern about the safety of their aircraft and no developing mechanical issue, otherwise they would have alerted the controllers. That the plane would choose that exact moment to fail, explode, whatever, and ultimately disappear falls way outside the limits of statistical probability. I know of what I speak. I have been there and talked to both of those centers from the cockpit of a Boeing 777-200. If I were planning to steal a plane the changeover point between two centers and two countries would be the best place to do that.
