Thought on my mind: Serena is my little love. Like all, well most, mommies, I want to spoil her and give her all that I can. As I looked at the few things I was able to afford for her for her first Christmas, my heart aches a little. I wanted to buy her more then just the few things, BUT then I think about how there are kids in this world who are less fortunate who may not even get a single gift, a loving family or friend to spend time with, or even a roof over their heads. I am extremely thankful for the blessings I have in my life, a working vehicle, a roof over my head, my family, my loving boyfriend, and most important, my amazing daughter! I have learned early in life to be thankful for things that some may go without and to appreciate life. I have so far, and plan to continue, to raise my daughter the same way. Yes, mommy still tries to give her some things, BUT my daughter is spoiled with love, not gifts! I promised to myself that I would raise a child who is spoiled, greedy, and self-centered and so far, even though she is six months old, I think Im doing a pretty darn good job. The best christmas gift ever is spending the day with my daughter! ~
