Thoughts after watching Bll Mahr........ I wish that he (Mr. Mahr) would elect to have an actual poor person on his show... a thinking, cognitive person of little means, who could speak to the problems which he claims to stand for and defend.... Ultimately my thought is this... What if either party/mindset had its way???? I mean completely.... The liberal sect depends entirely on there being a conservative opposition, and visa versa... This man does not represent liberal, strugling americans any more han Snoop Dog represents the struggling black kid in the hood attempting to make something out of his/her situation thru rap music.... At this point in his life/career, he is as large a part of the issues that hes adressing as all of the conservatives he berates.... Im not saying having a wonderful degree of wealth is bad..... but what I am saying is that once you have enjoyed the benifits of said wealth, that you are no longer one of the downtrodden and should not present yourself as the hero of such people. When all of your guests are wealthy beyond normal comprehension regardless of thier humble beginnings... for whatever length of time, and however well meaning thier intentions, the message that is conveyed is inheretly flawed, and or simply untrue. I would challenge Mr. Mahr to challenge himself, and his viewing audience at large, and invite.. well someone such as myself to be a guest on his show and see what happens. It wouldnt be as pretty, or as solid a ground for him to gloat, I can tell you that. I am extremely liberal and have always been... as is this particular talkshow host, but I struggle (as with most things in my life) I would struggle to find that he and I, or the rest of poor america have much in common . Possibly on paper, yes, but the reality of this particulr poor americans daily existence is, it would seem, beyond the comprehension of his corporate ratings. STAY FREAKY PEOPLE!!!!! and remember... Money is not evil, people with money are evil. (Not that I wouldnt accept the paycheck to appear on his show) If money is the worlds curse.... may the lord smite me with it....... and may I never recover. Tevye. Good night and good luck
