Thoughts from Chief Sjolander... Babies smell... While at church this morning, Mrs. Chief got to hold a baby and she was doing a wonderful job. After all, she takes great care of our kids and me... When Im left to my own devices, I break stuff, dress poorly, and Ive been known to use glasses as bowls. Mrs. Chief had to leave for a bit, so the baby was handed to me, its been awhile since Ive held a young child, but the rocking motion that I used when holding all my children came right back. I must have been pretty boring, because the young child fell asleep in my arms. I sat there, watching this young child sleep and it brought back such wonderful memories of when my kids were young and I would watch them sleep in my arms. I love the way babies smell, watching her breath, and looking at her small fingers reminds me of how precious life is. This child is lucky. She has a great family who always put her needs first and they are great protectors. Thanks for reminding of when my kids were young, and not asking me to change anymore diapers:) Stay safe, Lee
