2015: The Oro Nation Struggle. The people of Oro Nation, as a people we have done well by pursuing a just cause with sound reasoning and justified by the deserved desire to produce the next governor of Akwa Ibom State come 2015 base on the principle of equity and fairness. The agitation and appeals are well situated within the political context of the convention of power rotation in the state. Majority of the citizens in the state share in the sentiments and aspiration of the Oro people as the political pendulum is steadily tilting towards the possibility of the emergence of a governor of Oro extraction. Can we, the Oro people be definite about victory at the end of the day?. In contemplating an answer to the question, while sustaining the good fight, what safe guard have we as a people put in place to take care of any pitfall, should in case?. Are we united enough to stand on a common ground, fight for common interest or queue behind one leadership in the event of toeing a line of an alternative cause of action. The governorship seat that Oro people are looking for will not be given to us on a platter of gold, we have to express a very strong will, we have to struggle for it, we must fight to get. It is time the entire Oro people begin to narrow their frontiers, we seems to be fighting from different flanks, with barely a month to the schedule People Democratic Party ( PDP) primaries, it is expected that the various interest should begin to collapse, we should present a common front as split interest will reflect negatively on our collective strength. Having successfully saturated both the conventional and social media on the “ why Oro 2015” the next focus now should be the question of “ How oro 2015”. The idea here is to identify a saleable candidate and firmly hold onto him as a brand that will be appreciated across the state devoid of ethnic sentiment or linguistic nuance within Oro Nation. Oro Nation must rally behind a candidate that has comparative advantage over other aspirants especially politically, match with enviable experience and portfolio. The quest for Oro governorship must begin to wear a unifying human face, somebody who is fairly acceptable and has his political tentacles evenly spread across the state. The person must be a tested politician who has field experience. For Oro nation to avoid the pitfalls of failure, we must be ready to sink all the imaginary difference and adopt a common approach, strategy and tactics under an identifiable candidate. God bless Oro Nation. God bless Akwa Abasi Ibom State. God Bless Nigeria.
