Three big milestones were reached over the weekend for our running - TopicsExpress

Three big milestones were reached over the weekend for our running streak association: 1. We now have 500 athletes listed on the United States Running Streak Association (USRSA) active list with Karl W. Davenport, from Dunnellon, Florida, occupying the 500th spot. As we only list running streaks of one year or more on the SRI/USRSA website, Karl, who started his running streak on New Years Day last year, also has the distinction of being our first active streaker listed from the year 2014 to make the ledger. Please click here to see the USRSA active list: runeveryday/lists/USRSA-Active-List.html Please click here to see the active list for Streak Runners International (SRI) that includes active running streaks outside the United States: runeveryday/lists/SRI-Active-List.html 2. We now have 700 athletes who have become members of SRI/USRSA with running legend Reno Stirrat, from Rockaway, New Jersey, becoming our 700th member. Please click here to see our current membership list: runeveryday/lists/MembershipList.htm 3. We now have 2,000 athletes who have joined this SRI/USRSA Facebook group with Don Manfria, from Nutley, New Jersey, becoming our 2,000th member yesterday. Ironically, one week ago, on 29 December 2014, I emailed Kevin Helliker, a reporter for the Wall Street Journal, that we had 1,870 members in our Facebook group for his New Years Eve article on our association. We, therefore, have picked up an additional 130+ people in just the last week alone and have come along way when less than 40 people were part of our Facebook group when I became acting manager of our streak association back in April 2011. We here at SRI/USRSA are grateful for all your support and encourage all our new Facebook friends to officially join our association and to register your running streak with us so that we can list it on our website. Our membership form and streak certification form are all linked at our website at runeveryday. Good luck to all of you in the new year with your running and streaks!
