Three lakh acres for industries: KCR... US delegation meets Chief Minister, says it’s keen on investing in aviation, defence sector Government of Telangana will make available 3 lakh acres of land for industrial use to the prospective industrialists to create excellent infrastructure facility. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday told a US delegation that Telangana would be the best State for investments where a ‘Chasing Cell’ would be created in his office for expediting clearances to the proposals that are received and all permission cleared in two weeks. The delegation led by Arun M. Kumar, Director General of US and Foreign Commercial Service and Assistant Secretary for Global Markets US Department of Commerce met Mr. Rao in Secretariat. The Chief Minister said his Government would come up with zero corruption industrial policy shortly. He noted that Hyderabad which is seismologically a safe zone is the best place for investment. The US delegation mentioned that they are interested in aviation and defence sector. When US Consul General Micheal Mullins mentioned that they will be constructing shortly their office in Hyderabad, the Chief Minister said that they can add beauty to Hyderabad by constructing an excellent building which should be number one among Consulate offices in India and necessary permissions will be accorded immediately. The meeting discussed scope of organising a joint Indo-merican summit some time later this year. The Chief Minister also requested the delegation to include Hyderabad in the schedule of US President Barack Obama as and when he visits India. The other members of the delegation included John M. McCaslin, Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs US Commercial Service, Vinay Singh, Senior Advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Global Markets, Satya Prabha, Commercial Specialist and Office Director, US Commercial Service, Department of Commerce US, Consulate General, Hyderabad. Information Technology and Panchayat Raj Minister K. T. Rama Rao, Advisor to Government K.V. Ramana Chary, Chief Secretary Rajeev Sharma, Principal Secretary S. Narsing Rao were present.o
